A Small Gift, A Deep Reminder – Reflections from My Clinic
by Son’s Rehabilitation Medicine & Chiropractic Clinic in Seoul
Today, a patient kindly handed me some cherry tomatoes and eggplants they had picked themselves, saying,
“Please enjoy these.”
In that moment, a quiet yet warm sense of happiness washed over me.
Each time I receive such heartfelt kindness from my patients,
I am reminded of the grace that God continues to pour upon me—more than I deserve.
And I am deeply thankful.
As a medical professional, there are times when my heart feels dry,
and I find myself becoming distant from the warmth of humanity.
In those moments, I reflect once again on God’s gentle reminder:
“Always remain humble.”
It helps me reset my heart.
“Why?” and “How?”
I hold these two questions close to my heart,
praying that I may continue striving to find meaning, even in the smallest of my patients’ discomforts,
and do my best to resolve them with sincerity.
Today, once again, I pray to become the kind of physician
who never stops caring, questioning, and growing with grace.
